PB G3/3400 power plug

from http://pinoutsguide.com/Power/apple_tibookpower_pinout.shtml

Also Suitable for iBook G3 iBook G4 PowerBook G4 NB:PowerBook G3 and iBook Clamshell Require 3.5mm Jack
Basic version of Apple power connector
Works without the internal LEDs or the outer sleeve. The basis of the connector is a 2.5mm (yes 2.5mm, not 3.5mm) male jack. Functioning 100%, including charging the battery.

power adapter cable
Pin
Name Direction Description
1 (left) sense 400KOhm to GND
2 (right) GND Ground
3 (ground) Vin <-- td="">  +24V power

Only numbers are taking in account at drawing.
Correction for Powerbook G3 and Clamshell Notebook (3.5 mm jack): Tip (1 = front-most connector) is _NOT_ connected. Ring (2 = middle connector) is the common lead (minus polarity). The sleeve (3) is connected to +24V, this is the inner (hot) wire (with white insulation) of the original G3 (yo-yo type) power adaptor.
Also there is a supply for the loading indicator LED _within_ the plug. A resistor from +24V to the outer 9.5mm tube around the power plug.

Roland U-20 Initializing – Restoring the Factory Settings

The following procedure can be used to clear the internal memory and reload some of the factory settings:
(CAUTION: All USER information will be lost. Be sure to back up any information you wish to keep.)
Original factory data for the U-20 must be loaded in via MIDI or a memory card. There is, however, a memory clearing function that returns most of the other parameters to their original factory settings. Use the following procedure to initialize the U-20:
1. Press PART and RHYTHM simultaneously to enter ROM play mode.
2. While holding MARK and JUMP, press ENTER to enter Test mode.
3. While holding JUMP, press NUMBER 7.
4. Press ENTER.
5. Press VALUE [^] to confirm.
6. While holding MARK and JUMP, press EXIT to exit Test mode.
Note: See “Loading System Exclusive Data” for the procedure to load the factory data through MIDI.

Roland U-20 Loading System Exclusive Data

Many MIDI devices allow you to store and retrieve data via MIDI system exclusive messages. For example, all the factory settings can be loaded back into the U-20 using this method. Use the following procedure to setup the U-20 to receive system exclusive data:
1. Press EDIT.
2. CURSOR to “Setup” and press ENTER.
3. CURSOR to “MIDI” and press ENTER.
4. CURSOR to “Common” and press ENTER.
5. CURSOR to “RX SysEx =” and use the VALUE buttons to select “On.”
6. CURSOR to “SysEx Device ID = “ and use the VALUE buttons to choose “17.”
7. Press KEYBOARD and SOUND simultaneously and then begin sending the MIDI system exclusive data from your sequencer.
